10 Duas From The Holy Quran

Dua means supplication or invocation and it is profound act of worshiping for Muslims. Allah SWT wants His believers to call him not only for special needs but also in very routine acts.

And your Lord says:

“Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer):

— Quran, sura 40 (Ghafir), ayah 60

Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon Him said,

[su_quote]Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him (in supplication) He becomes shy to return them empty[/su_quote]  (Tirmidhi)

Protection From Fire In Hereafter:

The life hereafter is real life for Muslims and they strive hard in this life to make their next life successful and better. However, we make mistakes and commit sins which are punishable acts. But Allah SWT is always ready to forgive our sins and wait for us to repent and beg his forgiveness. Here is Dua which is mentioned in the Quran to which is for protection from the fire of Hell.
[su_quote]Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the life to come and keep us safe from the torment of the Fire[/su_quote] (2:201)

For Patience And Endurance:

As a human, we are impatient and can’t endure the stress of ongoing difficulties. In harsh moments of life, we easily lose courage and give up hope. If we seek help from Allah SWT he will give us the courage to face the difficult times.

Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance and make our foothold sure and give us help against those who reject faith. (2:250)

Asking For Forgiveness:

We make mistakes and commits sins intentionally and non intentionally. Allah SWT being the merciful lord of us, always wants us to confess our sins only to Him so that He can forgive us. The beautiful supplication for the forgiveness of sins is as follows:
Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or fall into error. (2:286)

Asking Ease From Allah:

We must invoke Allah in all difficulties and troubles of life and seek his help in our worldly problems. The dua from the Quran for this purpose is as follow:

[su_quote] Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear, grant us forgiveness, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector. Help us against those who deny the truth.[/su_quote] (2:286)

Asking Steadfastness:

We are always at risk to fall prey to the temptations of this world and astray from the right path. To seek his guidance in the way of our life we should read this dua from the Quran:
Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate from the truth after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your grace. Verily You are the Giver of bounties without measure. (3:8)

Asking For Purification:

Metaphorically, our sins make a dark mark on our hearts, and with the time these marks make our heart rusty. To clean our hearts from rust and scars of skins we should ask forgiveness from Allah SWT. What can be the better supplication than this dua mentioned in Quran:
Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and efface our bad deeds and take our souls in the company of the righteous. (3:193)

Asking Allah For Being Among The Righteous:

Righteous people are the most blessed people in front of Allah SWT and there are great rewards for them in the final life. It is our main objective of life that we should be in the righteous people of Allah SWT. We should always keep praying that may Allah SWT make us His blessed people and the dua mentioned in Quran for this is as follows:
Our Lord! Place us not among the people who have been guilty of evildoing. (7:47)

For Seeking Truth:

All people on the earth want to know the true meaning of life. Humans always have crises finding the main purpose of life. Allah SWT has given us special dua to seek the truth about the main purpose of life and many other aspects of life. Quran mentions of such dua in the following way:

Our Lord! Lay open the truth between us and our people, for You are the best of all to lay open the truth. (7:89)

Asking For Mercy:

As a Muslim, it is our faith that Allah SWT is our only Lord and provider of everything. So, we always ask Him for mercy and His blessings. This dua tells us the best way to ask for His mercy.
Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Your presence and dispose of our affairs for us in the right way. (18:10)

Asking Better Spouses And Children:

Family one of the basic system on which Islam emphasizes and make commands its believers to make a family strong. Kids and spouses and most important members of the family and they have an important role in making family life better. Everyone wants best spouse and kids so the dua for this purpose in the Quran is as follows:

Our Lord! Grant that our spouses and our offspring be a comfort to our eyes, and give us the grace to lead those who are conscious of You. (25:74)

We should always seek His guidance, blessing, mercy through the dua mentioned in Quran, and supplicating in every need of life. Allah SWT loves his obedient men who always turn to Him for help. May Allah Bless us the best we can have in this life and life hereafter.
