Quran is book of with uncountable blessings and marvel. Quran offers solutions for spiritual, ethical, moral, social and personal problems. There is reward of each and every letter of Quran you read but there are some reverend surah’s in Quran which have special importance and blessings. One of those most important surahs is surah Yaseen. The prestige and sanctity of this surah is proved from different hadiths of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon Him which you’ll read in upcoming lines.

The Heart Of Quran

Prophet Mohammed called surah Yasin “The heart of Quran”:

[su_quote]Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Yaseen. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people. [/su_quote](Tafsir-al- Sabuni Vol.2)

This hadith show that Quran has a heart which is Surah Yasin. This shows importance of Surah Yasin that it is core of Quran and contains most important and central message of Quran. Prophet Peace be upon him also wanted His followers to learn this surah by heart that is memorizing it.

Great Reward

There is also a grand reward for reciting the Surah Yasin which is mentioned in following hadith of Prophet Mohammed Peace Be upon him,

 [su_quote]Whoever recites Yaseen once, Allah will record the reward of reciting the Quran ten times.[/su_quote] (Tirmidhi 2812/A)

The above hadith clearly shows that there is a great reward from Allah SWT for reciting Surah Yasin which is equal to reciting Quran ten times. So this is another easier way to get a benevolent reward from Allah SWT.

Intercession

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

[su_quote] Indeed in the Noble Quran there is a Surah, for its reading will intercede and will be a means of forgiveness for the listener. Listen carefully, it is Surah Yaseen, in the Torah, it is called Muimmah.[/su_quote]

This surah has given the authority of intercession for its reciter and it will be mean of forgiveness for him. These intercessional benefits can also be a consideration for those who listen to the recitation of Surah Yasin. So we should memorize this surah and make our habit of reciting this surah daily.

 For The Dying Person

Prophet Mohammed Peace be upon him said:

[su_quote] Recite Yaseen on those who are dying. [/su_quote](Dawud)

This above hadith says that upon attending the decreasing person one should read Surah Yasin. As we know that death is excruciating process so this will give ease and spiritual help to dying person so that his soul can transit to other world with ease. As death is transitional process from this world to other world it is better to go to next world listening to this Surah.

Forgiveness

Surah Yaseen is also a mean of forgiveness as Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him said:

[su_quote] Whoever recites Surah Yaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, that night he will be forgiven. [/su_quote](Abu Nuaym)

A Muslim tries to please Allah by his acts so they try to do right deeds and avoids sins in his life. But as matter of fact human are not error-free and Muslims can do sins in their life too. The above hadith tell us that if a Muslim recites Surah Yaseen with intention to please Allah, his misdeeds and sins are forgiven by Allah. So we must recite this surah daily before going to bed.
